Zena Gaudreault

Peacefully on Tuesday, September 15, 2020, Zena Gaudreault passed away with family by her side at the Portage District General Hospital at the age of 91 years.

She was predeceased by her loving husband Phil Gaudreault.  Zena will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Gwynne (Doug) Henry and grandsons Nick and Jordan; she will also be missed by all who knew her over the years.

Mom was born on September 4th, 1929 in Wigmore, England.  She immigrated to Canada in 1959 and proudly became a Canadian citizen in 1967.  In 1992 Mom married Phil.  They loved to travel and enjoy what life had to offer.  In her younger years she was an award winning gardener.  Her roses always had first place ribbons on them at the Horticultural show in Portage.  Mom was always on the go.  She loved having lunch and playing cards at the Herman Prior. Walking, playing bingo, trips to casinos, watching soccer and hockey on TV and watching the Portage Terriers were all things she enjoyed immensely.  Game shows, puzzles, crosswords, reading and politics always kept her mind sharp.  Mom loved her little family dearly and loved to be updated on her grandsons lives.

A private family burial will take place at the Evergreen Memorial Gardens Columbarium.
