Yvonne Mary Mazurat

Sadly, we announce the passing of our sister, Yvonne Mazurat at the age of 71 years. She died peacefully at her home. 

Left to mourn her passing and sadly missed by her sister Dolores Kitchen, brother Dennis, sister-in-law Linda of Victoria, BC and niece Christa of Grande Prairie, AB. She was predeceased by her parents Bill and Tena Mazurat, brothers Donnie, Marcel and Gary and brother-in-law Don Kitchen. 

Yvonne worked many years as a waitress both here and in Calgary, AB. She had a great sense of humour, a love of animals and a caring heart for others. She also had a special love for her two cats, Priya and Molly. They were the light in her quiet life. 

Thank-you to the paramedics and Portage RCMP who assisted at a very difficult time. And to McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel staff for their dedicated service they provide. 

There will be a private celebration of her life. 

Donations may be made in her memory to Portage Animal Welfare Society (PAWS), 121 12th St. NE, Portage la Prairie, MB, R1N 4A2.
