On Tuesday, September 12, 2017 Vivian Longclaws passed on to the Spirit World surrounded by her family at the age of 68 years.

She was predeceased by her father William Henry Roulette; mother Edna Sutherland; brothers Kenneth, Freddy, Michael, Patrick and Robert; sister Loretta; husband Clements Longclaws Sr. and granddaughter Vanity Peters.  Vivian will be lovingly remembered by her children Francis (Tanya), Clements (Ellen), Christopher Sr. (Belinda), Caroline (Keith), Celia, Billy, Michael (Wilma) and Kenneth (Catherine) and Fred (Verlyn); grandchildren Pebbles, Sebastian, Keegan, Sara, Kyle, Carl, Shianna, Aimerie, Dakota, Sabrina, Codents, Samantha, Clifton, Mythious, Derek, Jamie, Jessie, Nicole, Christopher, Nicholas, Phoenix, Conner, Alexander, Brendan, Alyssa, Kelsey, Chelsey, Fred, Katelyn, Wyatt, Laci, Gerri, Darnell, Angelina, Austin and Cassidy and great grandchildren Bridget, Simon, Riel, Payton, Shawn, Patience, Luna, Zack, Bailey, Cayleb, Zayn, Matthew, Hannah, James, Nevaeh, Camden and Jesse James; mother Marie T. Roulette; brothers Reginald, John aka Jimmar (Kelly), Christopher, Paul John (Tracy), Clifford (Arlene), Edward, Joseph (Vanessa), Danny and Patrick West Richard (Connie); sisters Natalie, Marie (Carl) and Barbara (Randy); sisters-in-law Shirley (Dean), Barbara and Josephine; brother-in-law James and many other extended family and friends.

Vivian Longclaws was a very dear person in life and at work. She helped prepare various traditional foods for her loved ones and enjoyed cooking indoor and especially outdoor. Vivian spoke her native language, loved those around her and ensured that her traditional lifestyle was passed on.

Traditional wake will be held at the Sandy Bay Community Center on Saturday, September 16, 2017 beginning at 5:00pm.  Traditional wake will be held at the Long Plain Spirit Lodge on Sunday, September 17, 2017 beginning at 2:00 pm.  Traditional feast and service will be held at the Long Plain Spirit Lodge on Monday, September 18, 2017 beginning at noon. Interment will take place at Long Plain Cemetery.
