Victor Peters
Victor Peters passed away on Friday, January 6, 2017 at his home in Long Plain First Nation at the age of 45 years.
Victor leaves to mourn his passing his Mother, Gladys (Mary Jane) Peters, partner Sandra Richard, brothers Wayne, Norman (Sharon), Albert (Joyce), Ambrose (Charolette), sister Norma (Richard), and many friends, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Victor was predeceased by his father, Albert Mousseau and his brother, Larry Peters.
Victor was born in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba. Along with his family, he moved to Long Plain in the 80's. He attended school in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba.
Victor was a very shy quiet person and he enjoyed visiting his friends. He loved going for walks and listening to his rock music videos. He was trying to change his life. He attended bible studies with his Mother. He will be truly missed by family and friends.
Wake will held be at Long Plain Spirit Lodge on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at 4:00 pm. Traditional Feast and Christian Service led by Rev. Charles Marshall will take place on Thursday, January 12, 2017 beginning at noon. Pallbearers are David Peters, Derek Myran, Kyle Peters, Bradley Peters, Ian Perswain and Adrian Perswain. All of Victor’s Nieces & nephews are considered honorary pallbearers. Interment will follow in the Yellowquill Cemetery.
A tree will be planted in memory and cared for by McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel.
