With great sadness our family announces that Tony Lavallee has been called home to the Spirit World. Tony was born on February 25, 1981 and left us on June 13, 2023. He was a proud Metis Man, dad, son, brother, uncle, nephew, grandson, cousin, grandpa and friend.
Tony loved his children more than life itself and always made sure to teach them about our Metis heritage and traditions. He was a caring person who was old school, respecting his Elders and trying to care of the less fortunate. Tony made friends with anyone and would go out of his way to help by even giving you the shirt of his back. If he noticed that you needed something then he would find it for you. He was interested in collecting collectables, drawing, and researching our family genealogy.
He was predeceased by his grandpa “Jiggs” Clarence Hatch, cousins Damon Lavallee, Clarence Crate (Prince), Stephanie Prince and Margaret Bernard. He leaves to mourn his grandma Ella Lavallee, who was very fond of and always asked how she was doing; his mom Dianne, brother Joey, niece Hadley, children Darius with grandson Reed, Kathryn, Anthony, Lily, Levi, Aliyah and Cassidy; along with many cousins that he cherished, some in his life more than others but he loved them all especially Nathan who always gave him a place to hang his hat. He will also be missed by his aunt Shirley, uncle Ed, aunt Carol, uncle Brett, aunt Sheila, uncle Dwight, aunt Annette, uncle John, uncle Ray, uncle Lenard, uncle Rick and all their families. Tony had family in Portage and his chosen family in Winnipeg, too many family and friends to mention, but we know he loved us all.
Tony loved to draw, paint and do artwork which he was very good at. Most of all he loved to visit with his family and spend time with his kids. You could just see the pride in his eyes when he was with his kids. Fly High Tony ♥ Luv Always.
