Keith Thomas "Tom" Rintoul

It is with great sadness we announce the sudden death on Friday, November 26, 2010 of Tom Rintoul, beloved husband of Allison of 59 years. Tom was predeceased by his parents Jack and Lorna Rintoul, brothers Glen, Bruce and Melvin Rintoul. Family members left to cherish his memory are wife Allison of Bagot Manitoba, children Randy (Bonnie) Rintoul, Jacki Rintoul, Tammy (Phil) Davey, Rob Rintoul (Jennifer Baker); grandchildren Amelia and Kayleigh; honorary family member Bea Mozden; siblings Lorne (Colleen) Rintoul, Phyllis (Ernie) Askin, Maxine (Helmut) Schroeder, Wayne (Betty) Rintoul, Eldon (Georgina) Rintoul, Danny (Louise) Rintoul, Vivian (Harley) Henry, Ken (Pat) Rintoul, and (Edna) Rintoul and their families.

Tom was born in Portage La Prairie, February 6, 1928 and farmed in the Rossendale area for most of his life. Tom was happy and loved his life. He enjoyed sports, teasing and most especially his family. He was delighted to spend time roasting wieners over a fire outside summer or winter as long as family members were with him. Tom loved kids of all ages because he was a big one himself. He drove school bus for Pine Creek School Division for 35 years and he enjoyed being with hundreds of different kids over the years. Tom loved to play all sports, but in particular ball, curling, fishing and golf. Over the last few years, curling with Burnside and golfing in MacGregor made Wednesdays his favorite.

A funeral will be held to celebrate Tom's life on Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at 10:30 am at Trinity United Church, Portage La Prairie with Rev. Julie Baker officiating.

As expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made in Tom's memory to MacGregor Golf Course Building Fund, cheques payable to "Town of MacGregor", Box 190, MacGregor, MB R0H 0R0.
