Thomas Sheldon Dixson

With family at his side, at the age of 73 years, Tom Dixson passed away on Monday, December 27, 2010 at Portage District General Hospital.

He will be lovingly remembered by his beloved wife of 51 years, Elizabeth Dixson of Portage La Prairie. Left to cherish his memory are his daughter Penny Dixson-Dufresne (Robert) and grandsons, Justin, Joshua and Jeremy Dufresne; his son Tom Dixson (Connie Winter) and granddaughter Christine Dixson (Christopher Dack) and great grandchildren Madison and Tylan all of Portage La Prairie; and his daughter Donna Dixson and grandchildren Sarah Campbell (Gordon), Rachel Bernard, Katrina Bernard and Hannah Bernard of Vancouver, British Columbia.

Tom is also survived by his sister Alice Hutton (Arnold) of Lethbridge, Alberta , and brothers Harris Dixson (Bev)of Medicine Hat, Alberta, Claude Dixson (Lynn) of Shepody, New Brunswick, Gerald Dixson of Edmonton, Alberta and Ron Dixson (Patty) of Strathmore, Alberta and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents Thomas Stillman Dixson and Louise Bell Reynolds, brothers Ralph Dixson and Maynard Dixson and a sister Marion Sheppard.

Memorial Service will be held at McKenzie United Church, 85 11th Street NW, on Friday, December 31, 2010 at 1:30 pm.
