It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Terry O’Reilly on Monday, December 27, 2021 at the age of 73. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Karen, best friend Todd Campbell, daughter Brandy (Dave) Matthes, grandchildren Gage and Emerson, daughter Angie (Garth) Shindle, grandchildren Kolton, Jayden and Ava, brother Craig, sister Shelley (Howie) Beirnes, sister Arlene (Gerald) Spence, mother-in-law Eileen Price, five brothers-in-law and their families along with numerous nieces and nephews. Terry was predeceased by infant son Michael Craig, parents Frank and Victoria (Bulback), father-in-law Michael Price and brother-in-law Carl Price.
Terry, T.O. to his friends and Papa O to his family, lived his life in Portage la Prairie and Delta Beach. He married the love of his life, Karen Price, on August 16, 1974, and they welcomed two beautiful daughters into the world, Brandy and Angie. Papa O was so proud of his girls and of all his grandchildren. He loved to see and hear about what they were doing and filled his walls with pictures, newspaper clippings, and programs with their names on them.
In his younger years, Terry worked at a few different places and in 1974 he began working for Manitoba Public Insurance until a stroke forced his early retirement in December 2000. During his working years, T.O. loved to golf and curl, winning many bonspiels. Sports introduced him to numerous people leading to long lasting friendships with many great times and good laughs.
T.O. always loved being out at Delta Beach and in 2003 Karen and Terry built a house and made Delta their home. Terry had an amazing collection of albums and loved beers in the yard, listening to music on the deck, and waving as everyone drove by.
T.O. will be remembered and missed by many for his bright smile, the twinkle in his eye, and driving his golf cart around Delta with his sidekick Bono.
