We regret to announce the loss of our beautiful Tay on Saturday, October 19, 2019.
Taylor will be lovingly remembered by her parents Doug and Darseen Pryor; sisters Teaghan Pryor (Karl Dirks) and Raela (Trent) Giesbrecht; grandparents Edwin Schmidt, Anne Schmidt, and Joe (Barb) Weishaupt; pup Everly; extended family and friends.
Taylor’s love for life has touched countless people in the 21 years that she shared with us. From a young age Tay’s fearlessness, persistence, and compassion led her to boldly help those in need, no matter what the situation. Everywhere Tay went she served those with whom she crossed paths. Tay loved and had a smile for everyone. She was especially fond of children and those who don’t fit in the cultural box of today’s world. Tay's love for children was so evident as children were always drawn to her beautiful heart and infectious smile, whether it was in the children’s ministry at Prairie Alliance Church, Westpark School, Valley View Bible Camp, Youth for Christ or in the Mountains of Guatemala. Tay fell in love with the children and the culture of Guatemala and her life goal was to return there as soon as she could. Tay’s heart wasn’t limited to children, she cared for all those around her, those at Westpark, CMU, people who are marginalized by society and those she met during her stays in the hospital. Tay loved everyone.
Taylor valued friendship and was a close friend to many. Her community at CMU was especially dear to her. She enjoyed playing rec volleyball, soccer, and participating in the chapel worship team. Her experience in the Outtatown program was exceptionally impactful and she continued her involvement in the program as part of the office team, as well as a fierce advocate for others to enroll.
Jesus’ love shone through Tay to everyone she met. We love you Tay and we’ll see you again one day.
