Peacefully on November 13, 2013 Steve Praymayer passed away at Douglas Campbell Lodge in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba at the age of 85 years.
Steve is survived by his wife Annie Praymayer of Portage la Prairie, MB; children Susie (Paul) Comstock of Bemidji, MN and David (Kelly) Praymayer of Calgary, AB; grandchildren Daniel (Bonnie) Praymayer of Calgary, AB; siblings John Praymayer of Steinbach, MB and Margaret (Gabriel) Gobeil of Sprague, MB and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Elizabeth Praymayer; siblings Joseph Praymayer, Frank Praymayer, Anne Wiebe and Betty Nordstrom.
Steve was born in Sprague, Manitoba on January 27, 1928. He started farming in 1954, growing alfalfa seed and he had a love for all animals. Steve loved his land, he left the farm in 2009 to live in a personal care home until his death. Steve was a quiet man who enjoyed a good walk in the woods. During his time in the woods he would watch animals, especially deer and bears. Steve’s family was very important to him and he cared for them very well. His first love was telling others about his loving God Jehovah and the coming paradise earth. Steve dedicated his life to Jehovah God and became one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1970.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, 2360 Sissons Dr., Portage la Prairie, MB on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at 7 pm. He will be interred at Sprague Cemetery at a later date.
As expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made in Steve’s memory to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, 2360 Sissons Dr., Portage la Prairie, MB. R1N 0G5.
