On Wednesday, October 2, 2013 with family by her side, Shirley Cox passed away at the Portage District General Hospital at the age of 79.
In keeping with her wishes, there will be a Graveside Service led by Pastor Michael Douglas of Prairie Community Church at Hillside Cemetery where she will be laid to rest beside her husband Charles Cox. Please gather at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel at 2:00 pm on Friday, October 4, 2013 to proceed to the cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made in Shirley’s memory to PAWS (Portage Animal Welfare Society) Box 1426, Portage la Prairie, MB R1N 3N9.
