Peacefully after a long battle with cancer, Sheri-Lee Gowler passed away on Friday, March 18, 2011 in Winnipeg, Manitoba at the age of 37 years.

Left to cherish her memories is her loving dog Emma; parents Frank and Heather Gowler; grandpa Gail Phillips; brother Robert Gowler; brother-in-law Vince (Joanne) Klyne; sisters Tracey (Bill) Langner, Shirley Gowler, Erin (Steve) Hannah, Roxanne (Martial) Lemoine; uncle Darrel Phillips; aunts Bonita (Robert) Leader; birth mom Shannon (Frank) Hannah; niece Charmaine (Jon) Wilkinson; nephews Daniel (Jamie) Langner, Brandon, Wesley and Eric Kylne; cousins Christine Leader, Robert (Jennifer) Leader, Jordan, Nathan and Jarred Phillips; great niece and nephews Brandon, William, and Hayleigh Wilkinson; family friend Keith Sheppard and many friends. Sheri is predeceased by her grandparents Wesley and Lillian Gowler and Hazel Phillips.

Sheri was born September 24 1973 in the Portage, Manitoba. She grew up in the small town of Poplar Point, Manitoba. Sheri had a love for children, she worked with Child and Family Services while attending university where she earned her masters in social work.

Sheri enjoyed spending time outdoors camping and fishing, with family and friends. Her fondest memory was winning 1st prize fishing with her dad at the Lynch's Point fishing derby, when she was 15 years old. Sheri's mother would like everyone that knew her, to always remember Sheri laughing.

A very special thank you to Sherri Morgan, for everything she has done for Sheri and her family. She was Sheri's rock and we are forever indebted to her.

Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at 2 pm at the Good Shepherd Roman Catholic Church, Portage la Prairie, MB led by Father Eric Giddins.

As expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made in Sheri's memory to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation Inc., 675 McDermot Ave, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
