Scott Bowman
(November 24, 1956-July 22, 2016)
It is with profound sadness that the family announces his passing after a work-related accident.
He was predeceased by his wife Linda, his parents Raymond and Renee Bowman and his brother Ray. Left to cherish his memory are his daughter Marla, grandchildren Xandria and Mani, siblings David (Debbie), Joni, Jani (Terry), Jacki (Jim), James (Angela) and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was born in Calgary Alberta and moved to Portage la Prairie Manitoba as an infant. He grew up in the country until he was a teen and then moved into town. He painted with his father until starting his own renovation company. Scott not only took great pride in his work but also had a very creative mind and worked with various media. His latest love was wood working.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel beginning at 11:00 am.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the EMT’s, doctors, nurses and staff at Health Science Center that gave heroic efforts to save his life. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Rachel Riter for performing CPR on site.
Scott was compassionate, funny and hardworking and will be forever missed.
As expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made in Scott’s memory to the Portage la Prairie Regional Library 40 Royal Rd N, Portage la Prairie, MB R1N 1V1.
A tree will be planted in memory and cared for by McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel. 204-857-4021 www.mckenziesportagefuneralchapel.com
