Peacefully on Sunday, January 8, 2012, Ruth Kinch, age 96 years of Portage la Prairie, passed away at the Lions Prairie Manor.
Ruth was predeceased by her husband Bill Kinch, her parents Louis and Lillian Kasprick, and her brothers Mark, Alfred, and Leonard.
She will be lovingly remembered by her sisters Dorothy Stewart of Winnipeg, MB, and Evelyn Eros of Portage la Prairie, MB, and her brother Mervin Kasprick of Winnipeg, MB. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Ruth was born in Eden, MB on October 26, 1915. She attended school in the Eden and Glenholm School Districts. After completing her schooling she worked for Margaret Laurence's dad, Mr. Wemyss in Neepawa, MB. She eventually moved to Winnipeg and began working at the Hudson's Bay Company where she was employed for many years. Ruth was a very caring person who was always concerned about the well being of those around her.
The family would like to express their appreciation to Susan Boese and Myrna Buhr for their continued love, care and support of Ruth even after her move to the Lions Prairie Manor.
A graveside service in celebration of Ruth's life will be held at the Neepawa Cemetery at a later date.
