Robert James Clark

Robert James Clark passed away on Thursday, January 20, 2011 at the Manitoba Development Centre. Robert was born at Shoal Lake on June 15, 1930. Predeceased by his father in 1961 and his mother in 2007, he leaves his sister Isobel Fortune of Winnipeg, niece Margaret Jones of Edmonton, Alberta, nephew Harold Fortune of Vancouver, BC and niece JoAnne Dyck of Winnipeg.

Bob resided at the Manitoba Developmental Centre for 32 years. During this time he enjoyed employment at the Centre's greenhouse for several years until his retirement. He was well known by staff and peers to be a kind man who enjoyed making artwork, visiting with animals and playing his guitar. He will be deeply missed by all who cared for him.

Cremation has taken place. There will be a Memorial Service on Thursday, January 27, 2011 at 1:30 pm in the Aspen Centre, Manitoba Development Centre, Portage la Prairie, MB led by Chaplain Ron Siemens. Burial will take place later in the family plot at Shoal Lake Cemetery.

As expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made in Bobbie's memory to Lake Manitoba Camp Legacy Inc., P.O. Box 1532, Portage la Prairie, MB, R1N 3P5.

A tree will be planted in memory and cared for by McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel www.mckenziesportagefuneralchapel.com
