We are sad to announce the sudden passing of Rick Ferguson on November 15, 2012 at the age of 58 years.

Left to treasure his memories are his wife Audrey and sons Garret (Shelby and daughter Orianna) and Lane (Kendra). He will be sadly missed by his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and numerous friends and co-workers. Rick was predeceased by his Dad

Jack (1998), Mom Evelyn (2006), mother-in-law Hilda Gray (2008) and nephew Tyler Gray (2009).

Rick was born on November 7, 1954 and spent his childhood in Edwin. He later moved to Portage and married Audrey (Gray) in 1979.

Rick worked at DND Portage for several years and transferred to DND Winnipeg in 1990 where he worked until his passing. Rick was very proud of his sons and treasured time with family and friends. Rick enjoyed sports, wood-working, photography and music. His time at the lake was very special and he spent many early mornings heading out on his pontoon boat while others would be heading to bed. His quick wit, contagious laugh and funny verses will be missed by all.

A Celebration of Rick's life will be held on Tuesday November 20, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at McKenzie United Church, 85-11th St. N.W., led by Rev. Marg Scott. A private family burial will take place at Hillside Cemetery.

As expressions of sympathy, if friends wish, donations may be made in Rick's memory to the charity of one's choice.
