RICHARD F.P. CHRISTOFFERSEN

9 March 1975 – 8 December 2013

Richard Christoffersen, son of Alfred and step-mom Wanda, peacefully passed away at the age of 38 years.  He was predeceased by his mother, Heather, in 2001 and leaves behind many family members to cherish his memories.

Richard was born in Winnipeg, and took his schooling in Portage la Prairie, graduating from Arthur Meighen High School in 1994.  He was active in baseball and soccer and had a great talent for playing the guitar, violin and trombone.

Following a life changing illness, he became a long-time resident of Riverview Health Centre in 1995 where he resided until his passing on December 8, 2013.

We will all miss his infectious smile and his happy disposition during his many times of adversity.

Sincere and heartfelt thanks to the staff of Riverview Health Centre, 2 East, for their years of compassion and professionalism in their care of Richard as one of their own family.

A memorial service was held in the Chapel at Riverview Health Centre to celebrate Richard’s life .  A private family interment will follow at a later date.

As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Richard’s memory to the Children’s Wish Foundation, Portage Regional Committee, Box 1106, Portage la Prairie, MB, R1N 3C5.
