Reginald Craig Pashe
On Thursday, April 7, 2011, at St. Boniface Hospital, Winnipeg, Reg Pashe of Dakota Tipi First Nation entered the Spirit World at the age of 50 years.
He was predeceased by his parents Leonard and Agnes Pashe, brother John Pashe, sister Angela Pashe and foster father Ron Bell. Reg leaves to mourn his son Alex Richard and stepdaughters Victoria Lilley and Deann McKinney and their families; brothers Randolph (Marilyn) Pashe, David L. (Mildred) Pashe, Ralph Pashe, Everett Pashe and Leonard (Shirley) Pashe and sister Frances Pashe all of Dakota Tipi along with numerous nieces and nephews; his foster mother Margaret Bell; foster siblings Sarah (Shane) McLeod ( Riley, Randy and Jordan), Becky (Jon) Reid (Caitlin and Matthew), Rachel (Dirk) Vanderwoude (Kaleb and Greysen) and Katie Beg.
Reg was an environmentalist and humanitarian at heart. He would always collect discarded items and often recycle them as he fixed things for himself and for many family and friends. He was a true handyman and enjoyed helping people out. Reg was a janitor at the Dakota Tipi School. He was very fond of animals and would care for those in need. Reg always enjoyed the company of his nieces and nephews when they came to visit him. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Wake will be held on Monday, April 11, 2011 at 7:00 pm at the Dakota Tipi School. Traditional Feast will be begin at 12 noon at Dakota Tipi School on Tuesday, April 12, 2011 followed by the Funeral at 2:00 pm. Rev. Charles "Chuck" Marshall will be officiating. Interment will take place at Old Sioux Village Cemetery. The pallbearers will be Trevor Pashe, Murray Pashe, Dustin Pashe, Everett Jr.Pashe, Cameron Hall and Les Hall.
