Ralph Dennis Howe

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Ralph Dennis Howe on July 19, 2024, in Winkler, MB at the age of 76 years.

Ralph was born on Sept 24, 1947 in Portage la Prairie, MB and in true Ralph fashion he couldn’t wait to be born coming too early which was only the first of many health challenges that Ralph faced throughout his life, but as with everything he faced them with courage and that typical Ralph wit and sense of humour He was lucky enough to live in Brandon with a wonderful care giver, Mrs. Scott in his early years who doted on him and took wonderful care of him until her health prevented her from being able to care for him any longer. It was at that time on January 20, 1958 at the age of 11 that Ralph would move to his home at Manitoba Developmental Centre where he would enjoy a long and happy life with his many friends, caregivers that became family and his favorite doctors that would visit him regularly on rounds. Although his time at his new Gateway home in Winkler was short, in typical Ralph fashion he made a lasting impression on his new friends there.

A time of viewing and visitation will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2024 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel. A Celebration of Ralph's life will be held on Friday, August 2, 2024 at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel at 1:00 pm.  The service will be livestreamed and may be viewed by registering at the link below.
