Percy St. Paul (Francis)

“Eh-Bee-Tung”

It is with great sadness that the Creator has called upon Percy St. Paul (Francis) “Eh-Bee-Tung” to the spirit world to go be with family “up there” on Thursday, March 10, 2016 at the age of 79 years. Percy experienced the sickness dementia over the past few years, which caused him to slowly take ill & required special care & attention to this sickness. Percy resided at the Parkview Care Home & Central Park Lodge in Winnipeg prior to his passing.

In his younger years Percy was an old style grass dancer, Pow-wow & Sundance singer along with his late brothers Walter & “Darby”, he was also a “clown” in the Sundance society when it came time to be one while participating in the Sundance ceremonies. Percy was also a guitar player, singer, & a musician along with his late brothers.

Percy often enjoyed meeting people everywhere he went & was known to be a “regular” at the Portage Place Mall in downtown Winnipeg which he frequented on a daily basis. It was there that Percy made a lot of friends over the years & helped out people whichever way he could by offering them more than a handshake by way of a cup of coffee, a meal, or sparing change for the less fortunate. Percy loved to visit & travel to be with family friends, and relatives in Long Plain, Sandy Bay, Ebb & Flow, & Dog Creek. Percy was well known & will always be remembered for his laugh that most people recognize whenever they were with him to sit down & visit with him. Percy was also well known for his kindness, respect & friendship that he had for all kinds of people that he met over the years. Percy’s legacy will always live on in the memories we will always carry of him.

Percy leaves to mourn his passing his children Donna Roulette & Larry Roulette, grandson Julian Roulette, nieces & nephews Elizabeth, Reynold, Marlene (Ralph), Yvette, Linda & Donna (Roger), Liz, Beatrice (Barry), Clair (Pam), Loretta (Clint), Ilona, Laura (Morris), Helen, Sherry (Kim), Marshall (Margaret), Edward, Cecil, Glenda, Jane “Julie” & Mona “Shazia” (Darrell)  as well as family friends & relatives too numerous to mention.

Percy was predeceased by his common law wife Pauline Leclair, his parents Norman Francis & Kathleen St. Paul, sister Bessie Roulette, brothers Walter Francis & Derby St. Paul ~ Francis, nephews William, Gordon & Farrell “Birdy” Francis,  nieces Nancy & Carol Francis & Barbara Roulette & grandson Curtis Assiniboine Jr.
