It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden but peaceful passing of Penny Ann Germaine Payette, age 63, on Friday, March 8, 2019 at Portage District General Hospital.

Left to cherish her memory are her parents Dolly and Gerry Payette and her siblings Ray, Darlene, Jerrie, and Ron Payette. Penny will be deeply missed by her extended family members and family friends.

Penny lived the majority of her life in the community of Portage La Prairie with the support of her caring and dedicated network at ARC Industries and ACL Portage. In this community she formed her large second family, who are greatly saddened by her passing. As her friend Sterling said, “they grew old together.”

Penny had a wonderful life, finding joy in everything, especially all things Disney. Everyone who met Penny loved her. We are forever grateful to every person in Penny's life that helped her find her joy.

There will be a celebration of Penny's life at ARC Industries, 1675 Saskatchewan Ave, Portage La Prairie, MB on Friday, March 15, 2019 from 12:00 – 2:00 PM.

Interment followed by tea will take place in the spring in Winnipeg (details to be announced).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Penny's memory to ARC Industries, 1675 Saskatchewan Ave W, Portage La Prairie, MB, R1N 0R4 or ACL Portage, Box 773, Portage La Prairie, MB, R1N 3C2.
