Peacefully, on Saturday, January 23, 2016, Paul Oshanski passed away at the Rock Lake Hospital at the age of 74 years.
Paul will be lovingly remembered by his mom Irene Belanger; sisters Judi Belanger and Victoria (Ken) Dick; nephews Max and Sandy Belanger; special friend Gail and foster sister Debbie; biological siblings Deana (Merv) Oinkle, Jean, Helen and Jo.
Paul was a beloved member of our family for 35 years. He was a strong man with a tender heart. He was “the man of the house” and always watched over us four ladies with care. He enjoyed movies, cycling, gardening, bowling, dancing, socializing and taking trips.
Funeral service will be held at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel on Friday, January 29, 2016 at 1:00 pm. Viewing will be held prior to the service. Interment will take place at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
The family would like to thank Dr. Kinnear, the nurses and staff of the Portage District General Hospital. A very special thanks to all of those who cared for Paul at the Rock Lake Hospital. Thank you to the great volunteers of Cancer Care who assisted Paul with kindness and compassion on our many trips to Winnipeg. Another very special thank you to Bob Gunther for your unfailing support to Paul and our family. You are a true advocate for the people in your care.
