Norma Beckingham

Peacefully with my much loved family by my side at Selkirk Hospital on Apr 24/19. I never would have made it to my 81st birthday without the comfort, care and strength of my 3 men, especially that of my husband Bob. He bore the worst of my bad days with Love and Patience. Thank You Sweetheart!

Survived by my husband Bob, son Jeff (Vivian), son Daryl (Karen), son Douglas (Janet) and grandchildren Kara (Anthony), Drew, Aidian, Jessica, Chris (Cherie) and their children Kaylee & Xander. Also surviving is my sister Joan McDonald and brother Craig Hourie, nieces & nephews. Predeceased by my parents, a sister, brother, niece and brother in law.

There are so many people to Thank, Dr. Margaret Speer & Helen, the staff of the Chemo Therapy room, Cancer Care and Selkirk Hospital. I am especially grateful to Gwen M ( the Very Best of Friends), sister Joan for being such a good listener, Subina F, Joan P & Joan L. Big Thank You to the folks in Mapleton Lane. I really believed your caring, concern and positive energy gratefully prolonged my time here.

If you remember me, build a bridge, mend a fence, plant a tree, take a friend or foe for coffee. Never be afraid to tell people you love that you do. I felt that the spiritual path of Eckankar answered all of my tough questions.

Remember Desiderata (words to live by). Go placidly amid the noise and haste and remember what peace there may be in silence.

Norma was much loved by all who knew her with her outstanding zest for life and friendship.

There will be no memorial service at this time.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Norma can be made to Selkirk Health Centre.
