Noela Rose Roulette was born on December 25, 1932 and lived in Crane River for most of her life. She was married to Roland Roulette who was tragically killed in a motor vehicle accident at the age of 27, leaving her to raise their children on her own. We the children are very grateful to have had Mom all these many years. There were hard times in those days but she made it. She also raised her Grand Daughter (Rhonda) and adopted son (Rodney). Noela was a Born Again Christian who loved gospel music and attending gospel camp meetings in Crane River. She loved reading her Bible before going to bed and would pray for her children and Grandchildren. Granny loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, often sitting down and having tea with them. She enjoyed cooking Christmas dinner for all her family. Everyone loved her home made Pudding and homemade bread. Granny also told a lot of funny and interesting stories of her family and how she grew up. She was very independent and lived alone at home in Crane River up until she had a fall and had to be hospitalized in Ste. Rose du Lac Manitoba. She later came to live at the Lions Prairie Manor in Portage la Prairie to be close to family there.
The family would like to thank the Skyview staff at the Lions Prairie Manor for their generous care giving and support they gave to Mom. We will be forever grateful. Also special thanks to Mom's special friend Maxine Catcheway of Portage la Prairie who will also sing her favourite song “The last mile of the way”.
