“White whirl Wind”
It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our son, brother, nephew, cousin and grandson, Nicholas Irwin Meeches on June 16, 2022 at the age of 38 years.
Nicholas will be greatly missed by his mother Annette Meeches, father Tony Daniels, step-dad Kevin Raven, son Nicholas Jr. Asmus-Meeches, brothers and sisters Sunshyne Perswain, Sonny Perswain, Mallory Meeches, Sean Daniels, Jayson Perswain, Courtney Lynn Meeches (Charlton), Sonny Hudson, Lee Pashe and Stephanie Meeches, along with many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Nicholas was very athletic, and loved playing hockey and other sports. He also enjoyed travelling,, the outdoors and painting. He called himself “The travelling man”, collecting many items throughout his travels such as rocks, pieces of wood, feathers and just about anything sentimental that he would be proud of. Nicholas had many friends of all nations, he was a very kind loving person to whoever he met. He loved his family and spoiled his nieces and nephews. You would never see Nick mad, if so, he always brushed it off. He loved animals, especially his cat “Missy” and dog “Bear”, when he called home he would always ask about his animals. Nicholas was a jokester, playing pranks on everyone. He always lit up the room with his big smile and caring heart. Nicholas was a truly one of a kind, and he attracted many friends. We’re all going to miss that of Nick. Nicholas loved his traditional ways, sweats, and guidance from elders. He loved making new friends and was always proud of what he had. Nicholas was proud of his son and always talked about him, he loved him so much. He always told people he loved them, and called everybody aunty and uncle.
The family would like the give thanks to Kim Vivier for her guidance, Lori Jo Myran for making the beautiful vase for Nicky, Dennis Meeches for providing Long Plain North Eagle and to all the fire keepers. Also to everyone that provided support to our family during this difficult time and for the people that stopped in to visit. Miigwetch to All!
