Michael Andrew Whitford - Perswain

Suddenly, in the early morning hours of  December 18, 2015, Michael Andrew Whitford – Perswain passed away unexpectedly at the young age of 34 years.

Michael leaves to mourn his passing his common-law wife Candace Roulette, special friend Marina Caribou, mother of Thor & Trinity (Lucy),  son Matty, daughters, Connie (Boots), Chloe (Monkin) & Cierra (Sweets), godsons Tom, John & Theo, his mother Brenda Whitford, father Andrew Perswain Jr., siblings Marisa, Jessica and Craig (Thelma) & grandmother Mary Perswain. Also left to mourn Michael’s passing are his Aunts & Uncles Arlene (Warren) Merrick, Allan (Denice) Perswain, Vince Perswain, Sandra Perswain, Roger Perswain, Jerry Harris, Peter (Monica) Perswain, Russel Prince, Alfred (Sophie) Prince, Earl (Bob) Prince, Mary Clark, Cecelia (Dennis) Roulette, Sadie Prince, Sylvia (Darryl Hardy) Prince, Doreen (D.J.) Anderson, Shaney (Sharon) VandenBrink, Hazel (Sid) Jackson, Val (Sheldon) Whitford, Kelvin Prince, Ernest Whitford, Cory Pourier, Gayleen Whitford, Godmother Ruby Leclaire, Wilson & Charlie Whitford & many nieces, nephews & cousins too numerous to mention.

Michael was predeceased by his grandparents Florence Philomene Prince & Ernest Whitford and Andrew Perswain Sr., & uncle Edward Prince (Donnie Clunk).

Michael loved playing hockey, singing, and playing loud music. He loved to cook for his family, and he loved the outdoors – hiking, hunting and looking for antlers to make crafts.

Each morning he would check up on his Grandmother Mary to make sure she was alright.

We will truly miss his beautiful smile & infectious laugh. Until we meet again…

Traditional Wake will begin at 4:00 pm on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at the Long Plain Spirit Lodge.  Traditional Feast and Service will take place on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 beginning at noon at the Long Plain Spirit Lodge.  Interment to follow at the Perswain Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Franklin Wescoup, Brent Hayden, Lawrence Wescoup, Ian Perswain, Tony Perswain, Craig Perswain and Daniel Roulette.

Honourary pallbearers are Adrian Perswain, Steve Perswain, Clint Houle, Candace Roulette, Ralph Francis, Morris Meeches, Jerry Harris, Sheldon Jones, Earl Prince and all Michael’s friends & family.
