Michael Rumancik

With sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Mike Rumancik, on June 29, 2020 at his home in Portage la Prairie, MB at the age of 64 years.

Left to cherish Mike’s memory are his beloved wife Eileen, children Stacey and Kyle, grandchildren  Kaden (Poppa’s Buddy) and Landyn, father Steve and siblings Jim (Loralie), Tim (Leah), Margaret and Elizabeth, all  of Portage la Prairie, MB, and Theresa Manko (Gerald), of The Pas, MB, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Mike was predeceased by his mother Marie and brother Larry.

Mike was born in Indian Head, SK on June 6, 1956, and was married to Eileen for 41 years.   Mike followed his dream to become a B pressure welder, and he worked for 37 years at Prairie Potato. Mike was a board member for both ARC and ACL, and was always known for playing pranks and jokes on others… however he was seldom on the receiving end! Mike loved farming and gardening, and above all, he spending time with his kids and grandkids.

A private family service will be held.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mike’s memory to Diabetes Canada (Manitoba), 401-1 Wesley Ave, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3C 4C6 or the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 1379 Kenaston Boulevard Winnipeg, MB R3P 2T5.
