With family by her side, the peaceful passing of Maxine Lacroix, age 78 years, came on Monday, June 7, 2010.
She was predeceased by loving parents Gerald and Olive Moyse and her loving husband Floyd and will be always loved and missed by her son Gerry, stepson David, brother Grant and family, sisters Geraldine, Dorothy and Beth and their families and many more caring family members.
Maxine was born on January 31, 1932 in Portage la Prairie where she lived as a young woman before taking a job in Winnipeg at Eatons. She returned to Portage where she was employed at the Portage General Hospital as assistant dietician until her retirement.
After marrying Floyd Lacroix in 1981, Maxine resided in Poplar Point until her passing. She was a kind and generous person who was available to anyone in need. She enjoyed travel, playing games, her garden and family. Maxine lived, loved and with grace passed and will be missed by her loving family.
Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 12, 2010 at 2:00 pm with viewing for an hour prior to the service at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel led by The Venerable Norman Collier.
As expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made in Maxine's memory to a charity of one's choice.
