Marion was born and educated in Portage la Prairie. She attended teacher’s college and taught for 2 years prior to her marriage. After marriage she raised 4 children and fully involved herself in their activities and the church. She was a lifelong UCW member and former 4H and Scout leader.
She was a woman of few words but was always looking out for other people. She had a huge heart.
Marion delighted in a great bargain and thus attended many garage sales, auctions and thrift shops throughout her life. She was an accomplished seamstress and invited many children into her home to sew, bake and do crafts. She was avidly involved in the McKenzie Thrift Shop.
A Memorial Service will be held at McKenzie United Church on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at 1:00 pm, led by Wilma Shirriff. Interment will take place at Hillside Cemetery.
