Suddenly on Friday, January 16, 2015, Marie Bernard passed away at Portage la Prairie at the age of 54 years.
Marie was predeceased by her husband Gilles Bernard on November 29, 2014, parents Joseph and Bertha Ducharme, siblings Rosalie (Brian) Hatch and Clifford (Theresa) Ducharme.
Left to cherish her memory are daughter Donna-Marie Sanderson (Rob Zwir); beloved grandchildren Britany Lepine of Winnipeg, Breanne Lepine (Eric Gurniak) with great grandson Lukas all of Winnipeg, Kelsey-Marie Sanderson, Brooklyn Beaulieu, Madison Beaulieu and Carter Cleutinx all of Portage la Prairie. Also left to mourn are siblings John (Nancy) Ducharme of Vegreville AB, Sylvia (Frank) Guiboche of St Laurent and Martin Ducharme of Winnipeg along with many nieces and nephews and their families.
Marie was loving and kind with a laugh that was unique to her. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, playing bingo and spending time with her husband travelling and touring around. In her younger years she played guitar and developed a love for horses. Marie loved her grandkids and would brag about them all the time. She will be dearly missed by her daughter and grandchildren.
A time of Visitation will be on Friday evening, January 23, 2015 from 8:00 to 9:00 pm at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel.
Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 11:00 am at Good Shepherd Roman Catholic Church in Portage la Prairie, MB.
