On Thursday, January 7, 2010, Margery Stewart passed away in the Portage District General Hospital at the age of 85 years.

She was predeceased by her husband Donald Stewart, parents Sara and Gordon Fraser, daughter Marian Bruce, sons-in-law Harvey Halwas and Gordon Halwas, sister Jessie McMaster, brothers-in-law Rod McMaster, Alvin Bell, Alvin Stupich, and Ralph Atkinson, and sister-in-law Molly Stewart.

Left to cherish her memory are her children Gordon (Hazel) Stewart of High Bluff, Heather Halwas of High Bluff and Marnie (Barry) Rud of Portage la Prairie; son -in-law Brian (Beth) Bruce of Minnedosa. Margery was grandmother of Todd (Amanda) Stewart; Gordon Jr.(Lisa) Stewart and greatgrandmother to their children McKenzie & Kalyssa Stewart; Scott (Robyn) Stewart; Kirk (Meegan) Halwas and greatgrandmother to their children Kendra, Calista, Carter and Kale Halwas; Andrea Halwas (Chad Larsen); Kimberley Halwas (Jace Mynott); Becky and Angela Rud; Kristin (Aaron) Kidd and greatgrandmother to their children Robyn and Hannah Kidd; Blair (Julie) Bruce and great grandmother to their children Aidan and Abigail. Also to cherish her memory are her brothers Harvey (Sheila) Fraser of Portage la Prairie and George (Alice) Fraser of Winnipeg; sisters Dorothy Bell of Edmonton AB and Gladys Stupich of Winnipeg; sister-in-law Helen Atkinson of Calgary; brother-in-law Jim Stewart of Portage la Prairie and numerous nieces, nephews and their families.

Memorial Service will be held at Trinity United Church on Monday, January 11, 2010 at 2:30 pm led by Rev. Julie Baker.

As expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made in Margery's memory to High Bluff Cemetery Association, Box 44, High Bluff, MB R0H 0K0.

A tree will be planted in memory and cared forby McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel

who are in care of arrangements.857-4021
