On Monday, July 5, 2010, Margaret Lamb passed away, at the Portage District General Hospital at the age of 89 years.

Margaret was predeceased by her husband Grant Lamb, brother Keith Armishaw, sisters-in-law Eve Armishaw and Bessie Armishaw, and brothers-in-law Dave Gourley and Doug Street. Left to treasure her memory are her son Bruce Lamb, special person in Marg & Bruce's life Bev Meffen, brother Tom Armishaw, sisters Mary Gourley and Grace Street and many nieces and nephews and their families.

Marg was born on June 22, 1921 in the Hood District. She was one of five children born to George Armishaw and Jean nee Keith. In 1944 she married Grant Lamb and they were blessed with one son Bruce. Over the years Marg worked in a number of clerical positions in local and government offices in Portage. These include the Post Office, James Richardson's, and the PFRA. Marg also volunteered canvassing for the Cancer Society, with the McKenzie United Church Thrift shop and at the Douglas Campbell Lodge where she played cards with Harvey Coltart and others.

In keeping with her wishes, there was a private family service. She was laid to rest with her husband Grant in the Hillside Cemetery.

As expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made in Margaret's memory to The Kidney Foundation of Canada, MB Branch, Unit 1-452 Dovercourt Drive, Winnipeg, MB, R3Y 1G4
