Mabel passed away suddenly on Sunday, April 16, 2017 at the Portage District General Hospital after a short illness at the age of 84 years.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Margaret (Rick) Hisco; daughter Cheryl (Corwin) Nelson; son Richard Allan; grandchildren Scott, Lisa, Allison and Derrick; nieces, nephews and many friends. Mabel was predeceased by her siblings Margaret, William, Florence and Edith and her ex-husband Jim Allan.
Mabel was always thinking of others before herself. She was a very social person, by being a regular at Tim Hortons and McDonalds. She attended the First Baptist Church for many years. Mabel loved to bake and her family meant the world to her. She loved flowers and took pride in maintaining her yard while living over thirty years on Goodale Drive.
Funeral Service will be held at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 1:00 pm, led by Don Gibson. A private family burial will take place in the columbarium at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
