Lucia Martinez

With family at her side, Lucia Martinez passed away on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at Health Science Centre at the age of 85 years.

Left to mourn Lucia are her son Ramon Martinez (Flor Alas), daughter Dinora Martinez and granddaughter Rosie Romero (Erick Ortiz), along with extended family and friends.

Lucia was born on March 5, 1935 in El Salvador where she lived most of her life.  In May, 1983 her son Ramon and daughter Dinora moved to Canada and 2 years later they welcomed Lucia.  Since then they have lived in Winnipeg.  Lucia always had a smile on her face, and her greatest passion in her life was her family.  She enjoyed going shopping and getting some of her favorite food from El Salvador.  Lucia loved going back home during the winter to get away from the cold.

Private family service will be held, with burial taking place at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
