Lisa Katherine Marie Guimond

With sadness we announce that Lisa Guimond entered the spirit world on December 11, 2023, in Calgary Alberta.

Left to cherish her memory are her children Sabrina Longclaws, Deandre Longclaws, Tyrell Longclaws and Mariah Longclaws; her father Keith Tracy of Idaho; siblings Alphonse, Helen, Craig, Noah, Kenneth, Jenna-Leigh, Matthew, Tera-Dawn, Ashli-Anne, Bonnie-Jean, Merica-Kate; former spouse and  friend Blane Manywounds; the father of her children Jamie Longclaws; sister-in-law and friend Genevieve Longclaws as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was predeceased by her birth mother Margaret Rose Guimond; mother Lynn Tracy; brother Theodore “Teddy” Guimond and sister Krista-Lyn Tracy.

Lisa was born in Winnipeg, MB.  She had a happy childhood with her family.  She was adopted by Keith and Lynn Tracy and had many siblings, she enjoyed playing piano and swimming.  She was close to her family and was raised in Portage la Prairie, MB.  This is where she started a family and had four children (2 daughters and 2 sons).  She was especially proud of her children and was learning more about her traditional culture.  Lisa was very outgoing and had a bubbly personality and a great sense of humour.  She was always smiling and laughing.  She was always being generous and would be there to help if there was anything she could do to help anyone in need.  Lisa moved to Calgary, AB and this became her home for the past 10 years.  She enjoyed cooking and baking for the family, it was her passion, she loved feeding everyone.  Lisa would want everyone to share memories and to keep smiling and to be grateful for all the time she was able to enjoy with all her family and friends.

Wake will be held on Saturday, December 23, 2023, at 4:00 pm at the Long Plain Spirit Lodge.  Traditional feast and service will be held on Sunday, December 24, 2023, at the Long Plain Spirit Lodge beginning at noon. Burial will follow at the Long Plain Cemetery.

The family wishes to express their appreciation to all friends and family for their support.
