On Friday, January 14, 2011 at the Portage District General Hospital, Linda Ann Janzen passed away at the age of 51 years. Left to cherish her memory are her friend Scott, mother Nadia Shewchook, brother Bernard Shewchook, sister Sherlyn Shewchook (Fred Bosiak), daughter Marla Griffiths and grandchildren Xandria and Mani Griffiths and nephew Stefane. She was predeceased by her father Morin Shewchook.
Linda was born in Portage la Prairie. She worked at Tim Hortons for a few years and then moved on to work in Home Care for about 11 years. Linda was optimistic, always putting others first before herself. She enjoyed life and her hobbies included knitting, bingo and family get-togethers.
A Memorial Service will take place on Thursday, January 20, 2011 at 1:30 pm at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel.
No flowers please. As expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made in Linda's memory to Central Plains Cancer Care Services, 318 Sask. Ave.E, Portage la Prairie, MB, R1N OK8.
