It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Lillian May Halajeski on Sunday, January 1, 2012 at the Lion's Prairie Manor in Portage la Prairie.
May is the dearly loved wife of Edward Halajeski; mother of Mavis (Ken Steele) of Winnipeg and Lauris (Dean Roberts) of Calgary; and Oma to Lindsay (Michael) and Evan (Karen) of Calgary. May is also survived by her sisters-in-law Donna and Beth Anderson as well as many nieces and nephews. Family was very important to May and she totally enjoyed all opportunities to spend time together.
The family is grateful to the staff of the Lions Prairie Manor for the excellent care they have taken of May and also for their compassion and sensitivity for her and her family in her final days.
Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2012 at 1:30 PM in the St. Mary's Anglican Church led by The Rev. Brian Flower.
As expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made in May's memory to St Mary's Anglican Church, 36 2nd Street S., Portage la Prairie, MB R1N 2A1 or to Lions Prairie Manor Foundation Inc, 24 - 9th Street SE, Portage la Prairie, MB, R1N 3V4.
