Lillian Mary Buchanan

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our Mother, Grandmother and friend, Lillian Mary (Aymont) Buchanan on May 26, 2012 at the Lions Prairie Manor in Portage la Prairie.

She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Predeceased by her parents George & Priscilla Aymont and her loving husband of 50 years, Bill. Mom was the youngest of a large family, all of which are predeceased.

Mom's memory will be cherished by her children and grandchildren: daughter Judy (Ron) Reimer of Portage, Bill (Kayla, (Cody) Allie) Mike (Joan) of Portage (Joel & Brett), Karen Reimer (Jeff), daughter Lorraine Buchanan, Francois Cormier (Chris & Abby) of Winnipeg, daughter Debbie (Bob) Gehlen of Calgary (Nicholas, Jennifer (Will), Shayla & Connor) and son Ken (Dolores) Buchanan of Oakville, MB (Sherri-Dawn (Andrew) & William).

Mom was born in Portage and lived her entire life in Portage and surrounding area. She married Bill in 1947 and was married for 50 years until his passing in 1997. They shared many interests and good times with family and friends. Mom loved gardening and music and was very active in the St. Hyacinth's church and the C.W.L.

Mom had a terrific sense of humour and always loved a good joke.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Lions Prairie Manor for the loving care they showed during her time spent there. She had lots of laughs and had many friends both old and new.

Prayers will be held at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, May 31, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Good Shepherd Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the Hillside Cemetery

Memorial donations may be made to Lions Prairie Manor, 24 - 9th Street SE, Portage la Prairie, MB, R1N 3V4, or to Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 114 Countess Ave, Portage la Prairie, MB, R1N OT2.
