Peacefully on Wednesday, January 19, 2022, Leonard Beer passed away at Douglas Campbell Lodge, Portage la Prairie, MB at the age of 82 years.

Leonard was born on September 4, 1939 in Morden, Manitoba to the late George Leonard Beer and the late Cora May (nee Potter) Beer.  He was raised on a farm southeast of Darlingford, Manitoba and went to school at the Pearce School a mile from where they lived.  Leonard farmed with his dad until his dad’s passing and then he continued to work with his brothers.  He met and married Frieda on September 12, 1964 and as the saying goes “the rest is history”.  Leonard accepted Christ as his Lord and Savor and then was baptized into Christ on June 18, 1967.

He was predeceased by his grandparents, parents, three sisters and one brother.  He leaves to mourn his loving wife Frieda (nee Grossman) Beer of Elie; children Donald (Sharon) Beer of Winnipeg, Janet Sawatzky of Winkler, Jo-Ann (Arthur) Turner of Macdonald and Eldon (Bev) Beer of Beausejour; his 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; one brother; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
