Leona Sandra Maria Jackson

We grieve the loss of our mother, daughter, sister, aunt and great-aunt.  Leona Jackson passed away at the Concordia Hospital on Sunday, January 17, 2016 at the age of 47 years.

Left to cherish Leona’s memory are her son Matthew Jackson; parents Philip and Lucille Jackson; siblings Phil (Cathy), Dan (Rosemarie), Mike (Shannon), Nichole, Laurie-Anne (Eric) Toupin; nephews/nieces Trevor, Devon, Tyler, Brayden, Nolan, Dustin, Karen, Daneige, Maël, Nikolas and Kallie; great nephew Lucas; many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Leona was a loving mother who was very proud of her son. After three boys, she was the first baby girl to bring joy and happiness to her parents. Leona was an annoying little sister to some, a bossy big sister to others but a great sister to all. She was the kind of amazing aunt who enjoyed spending time with and spoiling her nieces and nephews. We will all carry many happy memories of her.

A Christian Service will be held at Good Shepherd Roman Catholic Church,  1125 Saskatchewan Ave E., Portage la Prairie, Manitoba on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at 11:00 am led by Reverend Father Gerald Langevin.  Private family interment will take place at a later date.

As expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made in Leona’s memory to the Concordia Foundation Inc., 1095 Concordia Avenue, Winnipeg, MB  R2K 3S8.
