It is with great sadness and much love that we say goodbye to our beloved son, father, brother, grandson, uncle, cousin and friend, who passed away at the age of 38 years old.
He will be sadly missed by his parents Kelly and Brenda Cousins; children Treyton and Lainey; brother Cory (Sabrina), nephews: Kris (Brooke) Ethan, niece Brooklyn, great niece Brielle; Nanny Bertha; aunts: Heather (Dan), Michelle, Susan (Jamie), Sally (Marv), Andrea, Nancy (Gordy), Carol (Harold); uncles: Rory (Bev), Monte (Maureen); special cousins: Lisa, Teri ((Kodi) Mason, Maddy, Brekkyn; special friend James Fries and numerous extended family and friends.
He was predeceased by his children: Rodney Keith and Ryder Kirt; his papa Keith; grandparents: Lillian and Roy; great grandmother Betty; uncles: Bill, Ted, Harvey, Tom; aunt Cathy and cousin Rochelle.
Kirty was born in Portage la Prairie where he remained for the rest of his life. He loved the summers where he spent many years building a career along side his dad. He spent many years with Jocelyn whom he eventually married and had children with.
He would put time and effort into keeping things clean and organized. He took pride in his work, his appearance, and always smelled good. Kirty loved anything to do with his bike, and you could see him riding around Portage at any given time. He enjoyed skateboarding, fishing, gardening, just to name a few hobbies that would keep him busy. Kirty loved to tinker and create projects, take things apart, and rebuild them. He was always working with his hands.
Kirty had a way of helping others to feel calm in a time of need and helping the less fortunate without hesitation. He loved animals as much as people also. He was a loving, caring, kind and attentive man. Kirty had a smile that would light up a room and it will be forever remembered. He enjoyed time with family and especially time with his mom his best friend.
A public viewing and slideshow will be held on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel from 7:00pm – 8:00 pm.
As expression of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made in Kirty’s Memory to the Bruce Oake Recovery Centre 255 Hamilton Avenue Winnipeg, MB R2Y 2C3 bruceoakerecoverycentre.ca .
