With sadness we announce the passing of Kevin Andrews on March 16, 2025 in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Kevin was born June 1, 1957 in Birtle, Manitoba. He will be lovingly remembered by his siblings Carolyn McCall, Harold Andrews, Kerrilyn Andrews and Jo-Dee Borody. Kevin was predeceased by his parents Frank and Shirley Andrews and brother David Andrews. He will be missed by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
From a young age, Kevin developed a love of sports that would remain a lifelong passion. Hockey and baseball brought him joy and comradery, creating lasting memories with friends and family alike.
In addition to his love of sports, he had a keen interest in the world of politics. He engaged in spirited discussions and was always eager to share his insights, believing in the importance of making one’s voice heard.
A lifelong learner, Kevin possessed an insatiable curiosity about the world, particularly its past. His love of books and history of WW1 and WW2 was well known. He spent countless hours researching and his vast knowledge of historical events and figures was impressive and enlightening to those who had the pleasure of engaging in conversation with him.
Kevin’s adventurous spirit led him to travel extensively across Canada and the United States, where he spent many years in the trucking industry. The open road was his second home, and he embraced the miles with a sense of freedom. His journeys were not just about the destinations but the experiences and connections he made with people along the way who became lifelong friends and family.
His adventures continued on his Harley with a loyal group of friends who were extended family and shared his love of motorcycles, politics and history.
Rest in peace, Kevin. Your journey may have come to an end, but your spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved you.
