Jonathan Stacey Len Myran

We are grieving the sudden passing of our beloved Jonathan on October 13, 2024, in Portage la Prairie at the age of 52 years. 

He is survived by his mother Helen Myran; son Jace; daughter Nicole along with three grandchildren; siblings Chris YellowQuill, Shayne Myran and Michael Meeches; lifelong friends Barahona families; Lucho and Sergio RIP, Eddy, Richard and Pancho along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was predeceased by his son Kyle Myran; maternal grandparents Florence and Andrew Myran; his father Rodger Meeches; and brothers Burterand Myran, Michael Myran, Jeremiah Myran, Tyler Meeches and Sean Meeches.

He cherished his daughter Nicole and his two sons Kyle and Jace. He gave each one a birthday party when they were younger. Jonathan respected and cared for Carmella for raising Jace so well. 

Jonathan’s last job was at the Wuskwatim Dam for Manitoba Hydro. He worked a lot of various jobs and at Long Plain Housing at different times. 

He enjoyed hunting with his friends from Long Plain. Since he was a young boy, he loved mechanics and working on various projects. He was always experimenting with different materials, and making things work with what he had. He also loved working out and keeping physically fit.

Viewing will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Funeral service will be held on Friday, October 25, 2024, at the Long Plain Spirit Lodge beginning at 12:30 pm. Burial will follow at the Yellowquill Cemetery.
