John "Jack" Talbot

Peacefully, with his girls at his side, John "Jack" Robert Talbot passed away at the age of 69 years on Thursday, October 6th, 2011 at St. Boniface Hospital.

Predeceased by his partner of 18 years Joan Bertram, and his parents John and Elizabeth. He will lovingly remembered by his daughters, Jacquie Talbot (Scott Smith) and sons, Layton and Callum; Robin Talbot, and children Aaron, Tyler, Lauren and Kennedy; Maggy (Greg Botterill) and daughters Paige and Tillie; and Joan's children Charles (Joan) Bertram, Jeanette Bertram (Ron Wilson), Murray (Wanda) Bertram, Evelyn (Dale) Barteaux, and their children. Siblings - Bill (Fran) Talbot of Winnipeg, and Diane (Ron) Falloon of Foxwarren, Mb and many nieces and nephews.

Jack was born in Shoal Lake, MB on February 19, 1942. He resided in the farming community of Foxwarren for 66 years, and then moved to Oakville to be closer to his daughters and family. Jack will be fondly remembered for his kind spirit, and his unmistakable laugh.

There will be a gathering to celebrate Jack's life in Foxwarren at a later date.

The family would like to express a sincere thank you, on Jack's behalf for the remarkable care received from Dr. Ross, Dr. Macklem, and all of the staff at Portage Hospital, as well as the nurses at MICU at St. Boniface Hospital.

An expression of sympathy if friends so wish can be made in Jack's memory to the Portage Hospital Advisory Committee, or a charity of one's choice.
