With sadness we announce that John Nobess passed away on November 28, 2023, at the Portage District General Hospital at the age of 64 years.
Left to mourn his passing are his nieces Karen Taylor and family and Theresa Wyss, along with all his friends and caregivers at New Directions, Visions of Independence, and Oak Tree Towers.
He was predeceased by his wife Theresa Nobess, his foster parents Roy and Marie Thomas and a sister.
John was born and grew up in Winnipeg where he married at a young age. He lived in MacGregor until 1999 when he moved to Portage la Prairie. Over the years John was involved and worked with many programs where he took lots of pride in his hard work. John loved to buy and collect tapes and CD’s, a clean apartment and looking sharp. John was loved by all, especially his staff and New Directions and Visons of Independence. He always had a smile sharing his happiness unconditionally. John will surely be missed by all.
