Jeremy Travis Kelsey Longclaws

With great sadness we announce the passing on to the Spirit World of Jeremy Longclaws on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 in Calgary at the age of 27 years.

Jeremy is survived by his wife Brenda; sons Ondreaus and Dakota Longclaws; mother Laura Lee Langlois (Pat); father Aldred Longclaws (Robin); siblings Jamie Longclaws (Desiray), Genevieve Longclaws (Ryan), Nathan Walters, Stoane Campbell, Cole Campbell and Tyson Campbell; grandmother Violet Weselowski and KoKo Ivy Myran; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.  He was predeceased by his grandparents Alfred and Florence Longclaws, William Langlois, Paul Weselowski; uncles Gerald Longclaws who passed away in infancy and Faron Weselowski.

Jeremy was born in Portage la Prairie, MB on August 17, 1989.  He grew up in Long Plain First Nation and Portage la Prairie, MB and moved to Calgary, AB in 2008.  He was devoted to his family, always made time for them and loved to be surrounded by his family.  Jeremy loved his family very much.  He was always sharing stories and jokes with family and friends.  He was a very caring, comforting and had a great sense of humour.  He enjoyed being outside with nature, family gatherings and listening to music.  Jeremy lived life to the fullest, filled with laughter and surrounding himself with his family and friends.  He was a hard worker and provided for his family while they lived in Calgary.

He will be sadly missed by all who got to know him over the years.

Traditional Wake will take place Monday, January 23, 2017 at 4:00 pm at Long Plain Spirit Lodge.  Traditional Feast and Service will take place on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 beginning at noon at Long Plain Spirit Lodge followed by burial in the Long Plain Cemetery.
