With tremendous sadness we announce the passing of Jeremy Dwight Johnson tragically on September 14, 2016. On a beautiful day full of love, laughter, demolition and creation, surrounded by family and friends, Jeremy was pulled away.

Jeremy is survived by his fiancée Lindsay Fialka; son Oliver; mom Darcie (nee Ostapowich); dad Dwight; siblings Ryan, Meg & Jennifer (Dwayne) Timony; nieces Melissa, Samantha; nephew Nicholas; many aunts, uncles, cousins and buds too numerous to mention.

He was a patient, humble, kind and caring man and had a great sense of humour.  He loved his close ones unconditionally and loved being a father to his son.  Jeremy enjoyed music, playing his guitar, gathering with family and friends having a BBQ or cooking.

Although we grieve his passing it is impossible to think of him without a smile and a laugh.  His spirit will live on in all of us.  Many will remember him and his friends bringing busking to Portage.  Free spirits enjoying life and music and wanting to share it with the world.

A celebration of Jeremy’s life will take place on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel at 2:00 pm with viewing prior to the service.

As expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made in Jeremy’s memory to a trust fund that will be established for his son Oliver.
