With great sadness we announce the passing of our mother Jean Moran on Sunday, June 23, 2013 at her home at Queen’s Court at the age of 81 years.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Bob; parents Thirza Mae and Frank; son-in-law James Karlson and brother Lawrence Clark.

Left to cherish her memory is her 7 children Patricia, Ken (Sharon), D’Arcy (Lori), David (Susanne), Lyle, Brenda (David) and Mark (Meri-Jo); 4 siblings, twin sister Joan (Roy), Betty (Bill), Doug and Bev (Brian); numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

Jean was born on April 11, 1932 in Crystal City, MB. She married Bob on December 1, 1951 in North Battleford, Saskatchewan and started their family of 2 girls and 5 boys.  She worked for 15 years at Reitmans.  Jean enjoyed family reunions, trips to Flin Flon and wintering in Texas.  She was a 50 year member of the CWL, loved to knit, read, make puzzles and most of all spend time with her family and many grandchildren.

A celebration of Jean’s life will be held on Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at 11:00 am at Good Shepherd Roman Catholic Church, Portage la Prairie, led by Deacon Bill Parrack.  Private family interment will take place at Hillside Cemetery.

As expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made in Jean’s memory to the Parkinson Society of Manitoba, #7, 414 Westmount Drive, Winnipeg, MB, R2J 1P2.  (corrected address!! Our apologies)
