With sadness we announce that Jason Cook passed away on September 12, 2023 in Winnipeg, MB at the age of 40 years.
Jason will be lovingly remembered by his wife Amelia Myran, stepchildren Troy (Kristie) Myran, Devon (Lynette) Pashe, Dana Pashe, Darryl Jr. Pashe and Sonny Pashe, grandchildren Aceson, Asher and Lynelle, mother-in-law Theresa Sanderson, siblings-in-law Crystal Sanderson, Harry (Judy) Sanderson, Michelle (Brittany) Sanderson, Aaron (Delani) Sanderson and Rochelle (Daniel) Sanderson, siblings Heather (Darcy) Myran of Long Plain First Nation, Elijah Myran of Winnipeg, Leslee (Chad) Cook of Winnipeg, Devin Searle and Natalie Watson Searle, nieces and nephews Dylan (Ashlynn), Gladys (Tony), Tyanna (Bryan), Shaleea, Keadis, Trisha and Frankie, granddaughter Violet, nieces Amiyah and Mariah, nephew Taika, special uncle David Budd, and special mom Sandra Searle.
Jason was predeceased by his mom Jean Cook, nephew Cameron, uncle John Cook and grandma Gladys Cook.
A time of viewing & visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 from 6:00 - 10:00 pm at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel. Feast and Ceremony will be held at the Veteran’s Hall in Sioux Valley Dakota Nation on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 beginning at 10:00 am, followed by burial at the Wanbdiska Cemetery at 2:00 pm.
