James Paul Tennant
1968 - 2010
With family at his side, Jamie Tennant, son of Gerry and Diane Tennant and brother of Ian Tennant and Aleta Unrau, passed away on Sunday, June 6, 2010, in the Portage District General Hospital at the age of 42 years.
Jamie attended elementary school in Headingly and Crescentview School in Portage la Prairie. He graduated in 1988 from Arthur Meighen High School and then received 4th class engineering from Red River College. During summer vacation, he worked in construction with his father. James was employed at McCains until M.S. wouldn't allow him to work. Jamie played hockey, enjoyed camping, music and loved a good party. He will be remembered for his good humour, perseverance and never complaining.
The family would like to thank the nursing staff on medical ward for all their love and friendship to Jamie.
Memorial Service to celebrate Jamie's life will be held at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel on Thursday, June 17, 2010 at 1:00 pm led by Rev. Julie Baker. Interment will take place at Chapel Lawn Cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, if friends so wish, donations may be made in Jamie's memory to Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, South Central Chapter, 302 Sask. Ave. E, Portage la Prairie, MB, R1N OK8.
